We focus on the origins of unique creations, delving into their essence and questioning the core of all that moves. Through culture and storytelling, we distill creativity, building a shared vision of the future with our community.
TAFALONG is one of the largest tribes of the Pangcah. Starting from their origin myths, the tribe has gone through several generations and a dark period of cultural influence. It has its own profound cultural and historical background.
The exhibition, TAFALONG, invites us to walk on the path between the reality and the imagination by combing myths, stories and cultural objects passed down orally from one generation to the next, listening to and looking at how our ancestors faced the threats of nature and built up their lives step by step, and how the value of tribal culture and traditions has been transformed in the midst of turbulence and chaos through generations of ebbs and flows.
太巴塱是台灣原住民阿美族中最大且最古老的部落之一，本展覽「TAFALONG」透過現代美學的語彙交織展示部落的文物及神話，邀請大家行走在虛實交映間展開的路徑上，聆聽與遙望祖輩如何直面自然威脅並逐步建立生活，歷經一代代的消長與傳承，並於波瀾混沌之中蛻變出屬於部落文化傳統的價值。
Through various workshops, social media engagements, and digitization of cultural artifacts, this exhibition offers both visitors and Pangcah people a diverse and in-depth way to understand the exhibition. While demonstrating its cultural uniqueness, TAFALONG not only creates cooperation between Pangcah and the world but also raises the pride and awareness among the tribe.
