T22 Porject : the revival of the stone industry in hualien

T22設計振興地方產業計畫

‘T22’ is a co-branding project launched by the Taiwan Design Research Institute. The project invited designers and the stone industry to work together, aiming for a sustainable production in Taiwan. ‍ Hualien has 90% of Taiwan's stone resources and is famous for the marble. The film documented the project, including the production process and the nature beauty of the stone. In addition, the vice president of the Institute, Nina Ay, and the consultant, Blues To, were invited to discuss the current situation of the industry, addressing the importance of the revival of this industry in Hualien.

「T22」是台灣設計研究院推出的產地振興計畫，以設計的角度切入與產地的職人共同攜手突破困境，目標台灣的產地永續化。花蓮擁有全台九成的石材資源，以盛產精緻大理石聞名全球，為跳脫傳統產業的框架且加強國際競爭力，T22決定深入「石材產地 — 花蓮」，並邀請我們一同紀錄。本影片除了展現設計師走入石材供應地花蓮以及工廠的各式加工製程外，也希望展現原石最自然堅硬的肌理。我們邀請設研院副院長艾淑婷與計畫顧問杜祖業討論產業現況，紀錄下T22與通路商、產業端溝通合作與再創的過程，希望讓產業如何轉型被更多人討論，盼有機會一起見證產業再生的生命力。
