We focus on the origins of unique creations, delving into their essence and questioning the core of all that moves. Through culture and storytelling, we distill creativity, building a shared vision of the future with our community.
Crafts originated from the lives of local residents, and transformed into wisdom for daily necessities by finding and observing the local materials and environmental characteristics of the region. It evolved into a local economic chain over a long period of time, shaping cultural assets and memories, and then becoming a feature of local tourism. With this bigger picture, ‘Beyond Craftsmanship - Are we there yet?’ aimed to lead the public to view crafts from different perspectives, and to learn about the local craftsmanship in a way that is ‘Beyond Craftsmanship’.
工藝起源於當地住民的生活，透過尋找並觀察該地區性的特色材料及環境特徵，轉變為日常用品的智慧。長時間下來演變為地方經濟鏈，形塑文化資產與記憶，而後成為在地旅遊之特色。也因如此「工藝之外──還要多久才到？」，旨在引領民眾以不同的視角觀看工藝，以工藝之外的方式，認識臺灣地方特色工藝。
